time saving, simple app for publishing booklets

quick and responsive technical support sorted out a small problem with my printer configuration that I couldn’t figure out alone. a small adjustment set things right and I’m back again to easily printing booklets after fresh OS install.

Love this App!!

This app is a lifesaver! I am a teacher and this app lets me print out multiple page review booklets so easily. Well worth the money! I recommend it to all of my colleagues

Best!

There’s simply no other app that does what this app does nearly as well as this app does it! Best is all I can say!

Great app and great support

Create Booklet is a great app and makes an otherwise cumbersome task easy. My printer doesnt support duplex printing (not even with a software guide), but Create Booklet makes it very easy to print booklets anyway after setting up manual duplex printing (which is a great way to get an understanding of how the printer prints anyway). In addition to a great app, the support team is wonderful if needed. I provided the support team with a PDF that Mac OS X was not even able to print properly and they helped diagnose the problem and in the next version added a feature which made it possible to print the document in the end (rasterizing the PDF worked)! The responsiveness to customer concerns and problems is really amazing.

It does what it’s supposed to.

I’m a pastor. I write out three 3,000 word plus manuscripts every week and preach from them. For a long time, I used an iPad or a kindle, but I wanted to go back to paper. The problem is it’s hard to keep track of that much paper. This app has been a lifesaver. It’s really easy to use and does exactly what I need. Glad I found it.

Much improved

I used the older version of createbooklet for years and was pleased. The new version is much improved allowing for the user to ajust many settings while still being very simple to use.

Create Booklet is Just What It Says

I own Blue Squirell’s Clickbook for many years, on a Windows machine and a Mac. Each time I used it I became frustrated after hours of trying to make it work. Today, out of complete frustration I bought Create Booklet. Within fifteen minutes I had downloaded, learned to use it, and printed a booklet perfectly. My business is to sell children’s stories printed in booklets. I have been doing this for ten years. Never have I been able to do it in such a short time. I highly recommend Creat Booklet to anyone who has to or wants to print booklets.

Works beautifully and simply —great support

I use this app mostly to create music scores for a wide range of musical ensembles and situations. It works simply and efficiently. I especially like it’s ability to resize pdfs accurately and to print booklets and 2-up pages easily in different formats. I had a frustrating issue at first with CB and Yosemite. The support I received was thoughtful, kind and thorough. The problem was quickly diagnosed related to the Mac OS and I was up and running again quickly. Very useful app!

Not intuitive for Tabloid

I am having problems with getting a document to print a booklet on Tabloid paper. The app is not intuitive in terms of set up for Word, PDF, and Printer.

amazing little software app

I once used an automator script that this author created years ago for this purpose, it did the job but stopped working for me with El Capitan. With a little research, I found out he had written an app for the job, and it works beautifully. Nicely done! Highly recommended.

Easy to use and very effective

I’ve been creating booklets for years by various methods. By comparison, CREAT BOOKLET is a piece of cake. It give a lot more control over the final product than other apps I’ve used. I highly recommend this app: it is well worth the price.

Powerful featurs, simple interface. Worth every penny.

This application is perfect for turning regular documents into digests. Included are many power features that give your work an added touch of profesonalism; scaling, position, reverse order, creep compensation, staple markings, adding page numbers and much more. Worth every penny. If only all apps worked as good as this one did.

Wow, great software

Every once in a while you come upon a piece of software that does exactly what you want, and then does even more. That’s what Create Booklet is. It’s very well designed. It’s easy to use. It has lot of features for tuning your results to meet your needs. If you’re looking for software to create booklets, buy this app. You won’t be disappointed.

HORRIBLE… then GREAT

A day of torment trying to print a simple booklet with any medium or tool (thanks lots MS Word 2011). Everything I used printed upside down on the back sides no matter what setting/edge/binder was selected. Create Booklet has a fix under it’s Preferences, (and great next day tech response to tell me) so if all else fails go to Preferences and click “Flip Back Sides”. Salvation at last.

Makes booklet printing easy!!

I tried various approaches to print a booklet and nothing was working. Then I purchased this app and it works like a charm! It is easy to use and works as advertised. My printer only prints on one side. This app walked me thru every step to print on both sides and all the pages are automatically sequenced correctly. Just save any normal document as a pdf file. Then this app will make it so one page prints on each half of landscape paper. Staple in the middle and you have a booklet!

Just what I need

I’m a student. In one of the courses I take, a seminar-style discussion section, we’re not allowed to use any electronics during class (e.g. laptops, tablets). But we do have to print out a hard copy of the journal articles we read to class. This has become my goto app for printing those really long journal articles into easy-to-hold booklets. I tried to print booklets out myself, but man, was it a massive pain to do. This app even has manual duplex printing, which was missing from another app I tried out. The other thing I like is I can delete and add pages if needed. I can imagine this would also be useful for people who like to do bookbinding, as you can split a large document into booklets. Would definitely recommend if you need to print booklets a lot. It’s simple to use, and the interface imo is pretty easy to learn.

Create Booklet v. 1.2.3

I am a hobbiest bookbinder and found there is much to like here. The program is intuitive and surprisingly powerful if your goal is to layout the pages for a book made of signatures. The more I use it the more I see the care and versatility to was taken in its programming. It also readily allows incorporation of pictures, blank pages or pdfs into the booklet that are not a part of the original document used to generate the text. I my experience the technical support is excellent and timely. And really, for $10 it is wonderful.

Not stable

Create Booklet goes off the rails when there are more than 100 pages to print. I had a booklet of more than 400 pages and somehow in the middle Create Booklet lost a page. Ended up with 200 pages wasted because the sequence was lost. The same repeated with the “split into several booklets” option. Had to manually split my orginal pdf into the booklets with the missing pages. If there is a bug somewhere, please fix it.

Works as advertised

I use it to create church worship bulletin booklets. The instructions are clear — it takes a PDF file and makes it into a booklet with each page in the original becoming a page in the booklet. It does not take a WORD or PAGES document and automatically convert it into a book. However, you can make your own pages for the book very easily. To make a folded “Letter sized” booklet, open your word processing program and start with “legal” size pages in portrait mode. To make the print in the booklet 11 point font, use 18 point in the original; 14 point in the booklet will be about 23 point in the original; 16 point in the booklet will be about 26 point in the original. Type or import your document accordingly, setting up the pages how you want them to appear in the finished booklet. When you are finished, convert/export the file to a PDF. Open “Create Booklet” and choose Create Booklet from PDF file. Find your newly made PDF file, and let the program create the booklet. Then send it to your printer. (If you want to create a folded “Legal sized” booklet, use “letter” sized pages in portrait mode and adjust the fonts accordingly)

WORTH IT TEN TIMES OVER - SIX STARS

This app has saved me dozens of hours and countless misfires in the creation of church bulletins and similar small booklets. It is so simple: Save the document as a pdf, open it in “Create Booklet” (where the printing parameters have been pre-set), and export as a booklet. That is all that it takes to go from a Word doc to a paginated booklet. The time this has saved me, and the frustration it has eliminated - well, it is worth the $10 price every time I use it. SIX STARS!
